The team was called by the RCMP at 19:15 to search for a missing 51 year old male. The individual was going to climb Mount Hope trail and was supposed to return by 4pm. After waiting a couple of hours friends made the call to the RCMP and reported him overdue.

A ground crew began the arduous hike up the Mt Hope trail.  Also Valley Helicopters aircraft was able to launch and fly over the summit of Mt Hope.

However, with darkness approaching, the helicopter was called off since the individual had walk out of the woods. The individual was tired, needed some water and was looked over by the BCAS, he was good to go and friends and family were glad to see that he made it back down safely. The 3-hour trek saw all the personnel and the subject back to staging area. The incident was concluded at 10:30pm.
