On the 9th November, Hope SAR was called out by the RCMP to search for a 75 year old male who possibly was missing in the Hope Area. Family contacted the RCMP the night before and reported him missing. After searching in the Merritt area from possible sightings the previous night the RCMP determined he might be in the Hope Area.

The male being a retired conservation officer from the Hope and Chilliwack area was known to hunt in the area.  Two of his friends and conservation officers themselves helped Search and Rescue and RCMP to determine where the individual usually hunted. The search was concentrated around the Ladner Creek area and up the Skagit Valley. Shortly into the search the male was spotted driving on the Skagit Valley Forest Service Road by two Hope Search and Rescue personnel.

The male was reunited with his family at the SAR building.
