CALLED AT OTHELLO TUNNELS FOR HEAD INJURY FEMALE

Hope, BC - On Monday, August 5 2013,

Yesterday, Hope Search and Rescue was activated by BC Ambulance (BCAS) to respond to a call for an injured hiker at the popular Othello Tunnels. The subject was hiking with her husband near tunnel # 1 when she fell and injured her head.

An initial hasty team with a team Emergency Medical Responder was on scene shortly after receiving the call from BCAS. While they assessed the patient and providing First Aid, BC ambulance arrived and the subject for transport, she was taken by ambulance to the hospital.
